Nectar Tasting Room participant Anelare Winery is pleased to announce the opening of their new tasting room and event facility in Benton City, WA. For about a year Anelare had no tasting room presence in their production region after moving out of a shared space with Canon del Sol. Winery partners Forrest and Kahryn Alexander bought a piece of property across from the Red Mountain region, sold their house in the Tri-Cities and began to pursue their vision of a permanent place to call home. Located on the Kiona hill overlooking Red Mountain vineyards and wineries, the existing barn on […]
The Seattle Wine Awards is considered by many to be Washington’s premier wine judging competition. Hundreds of wineries across the state submit thousands of wines to be reviewed by a panel of prestigious judges. Each wine is judged on a 20 point score and the top wines are awarded medals of Bronze, Silver, Gold and Double Gold. Double Gold wines represent the best of the best in the category. Pair this flight with the 2013 Anelare Ciel du Cheval White, 2013 Hard Row to Hoe Pinot Gris, 2013 Northwest Cellars Sonatina, 2013 Skylite Cellars Sierra, or the 2012 Terra Blanca Sauvignon Blanc. All Food Flights are designed to be shared. We […]

One of their uncles is Earl Smart, a Tri-City wine professional who often pours at the Anelare tasting room. His signature beret has been incorporated […]
Well, you may have heard that the original wine slinger, Ben Hilzinger, is moving on to rainier pastures in Seattle. Benny (as we affectionately call him) has been the face of Nectar for nearly 2 and 1/2 years. Check out my touching tribute to him here. After an exhaustive search, I am excited to announce that we have found our next Tasting Room Manager for Nectar.
