Nectar Tasting Room participant Anelare Winery is pleased to announce the opening of their new tasting room and event facility in Benton City, WA. For about a year Anelare had no tasting room presence in their production region after moving out of a shared space with Canon del Sol. Winery partners Forrest and Kahryn Alexander bought a piece of property across from the Red Mountain region, sold their house in the Tri-Cities and began to pursue their vision of a permanent place to call home. Spokane Wineries Score Big at Seattle Wine Awards
The Seattle Wine Awards is considered by many to be Washington’s premier wine judging competition. Hundreds of wineries across the state submit thousands of wines to be reviewed by a panel of prestigious judges. Each wine is judged on a 20 point score and the top wines are awarded medals of Bronze, Silver, Gold and Double Gold. Double Gold wines represent the best of the best in the category. Nectar Wineries Win Medals
We are excited to share that 3 of the Nectar Tasting Room wineries performed very well at the recent Savor Northwest Wine Competition. The Savor NW Wine Awards were launched in 2012, and the competition is organized by Gary Hayes and Pelican Productions, which stages the Savor Cannon Beach Wine & Culinary Festival and publishes Coast Explorer Magazine, Cannon Beach Magazine and the Seaside Visitor Guide. Wines are reviewed BLIND, meaning that the panel of judges only knows the grape variety being tested. Each group of 4 judges evaluates the wine on quality and varietal correctness.
