In My Opinion, Your Opinion Sucks
In My Opinion, Your Opinion Sucks While not always successful, I try to live by a few key phrases: “Will it matter a month from now (or even a year from now)?” ~ Worry “The greatest treasure is having someone to share it with” ~ Family “All things are permissible but not all things are beneficial” ~ Balance Lately I’ve been thinking about two other principles as they relate to blogging, twitter and wine. Let me tell you both and then I’ll explain them. When given a choice, being nice is always the best option Opinions are like assholes, we all have […]
Anelare A Wine to Desire
One sip and you may understand why the name Anelare was chosen for this small boutique winery from Benton City, WA. Anelare is Italian for desire…to long for. Producing less than 1000 cases per year, much of Anelare’s wine is only distributed through their tasting studio in Kennewick, WA. When the Alexander family pursued their passions for wine, they enlisted the help of Victor Cruz of Canon del Sol. Victor’s wine has received critical acclaim for its consistent structure and quality. 2007 marks Anelare’s third vintage. Wine club members have exclusive access to estate Syrah (Ciel du Cheval), and […]

Of course this Friday IS the First Friday of the month and Spokane is ready to celebrate with the popular art walk through down town. The list below contains, First Friday and ALL your other […]
Nectar Monthly Honors March
March came in like a lion and went out like a lion. An all time high of 30 posts with 28 formal wine reviews made for a busy month. Aside from the ‘formal reviews’ I bet I tasted close to 100 different wines at Taste Washington, at restaurants, and ‘relaxing’ at home. With amazing online wine activities like #SauvBlanc on March 4 and #WAMerlot and Taste Washington 3/25-28 the wino activities were never ending. It’s pretty inspiring to think that the two main Twitter events for March could have driven sales upwards of 350 cases of wine and millions of […]
The Night Merlot Was King
For a night, Merlot was king. The grape that got turned upside down in the movie Sideways was back on top for two hours in March. This event, and others similar to it, proves to me once and for all that Twitter and other Social Media has changed the way we can do business and effect change. Before I get into the analysis of the Twitter metrics for the night I must give thanks to the group that pulled it together. I may have been the face behind a lot of posts, videos and tweets, but without these amazing ambassadors […]
