The Ultimate Washington Wine Club
Thirty years! Twenty plus wines in the catalogue! Pioneer in Washington’s premier Red Mountain AVA! Kiona Vineyards and Winery is excited to announce their first ever wine club.
Saturday, I went to Costco because JJ Williams of Kiona was pimpin’ wine there. JJ is the 1 Eye Wine Guy (and yes, he does only have one eye). JJ’s family started and owns Kiona Vineyards and pioneered Red Mountain AVA and Washington wine. There were less than 20 wineries in the state when they planted grapes in 1975. Now, after 30 years of making consistently great product (and selling Red Mountain grapes to several other wineries) Kiona is excited to announce their wine club.
Three shipments per year of four to six bottles for only $125 (plus shipping) gets you library wine re-releases, pre-release wines and special wine club releases of small lot production. Wine club members will also receive 15% off on bottle purchases and 20% off on case purchases.
If you only join one wine club, this is one to consider for the variety, the quality, and the access to the diverse Kiona library. Visit the site to learn more and to sign up.
My apologies for the video not having JJ in frame fully 😉 – I hadn’t even had any wine! What is your favorite wine club? What features do you like? Leave a comment.

I’m thinking I might need to sign up for that. I haven’t seen any Kiona Wines around here yet, and I’ve heard nothing but great things about them. Thanks for the info!
If you were going to try ONE winery to join and wanted variety from Zin to bold Cabs to sweet Late Harvest Riesling, you would be hard pressed to find better.
Great job seizing the moment with the One-Eyed-Wine-Guy, I’ve heard so much about him. Looks like you need a new camera man, great shot of you btw 😉
Hey now, it’s tough being your own camera man! JJ is such a nice guy and the wine Kiona produces is so consistent and good. I’ve yet to have one that I didn’t love (but I’ve only had 5 of the 20).
Josh –
Thank you so much for swinging by to say hi. It was an absolute pleasure to meet you. Your passion for wine and this blog shines through and through!
Thanks, JJ – great to meet you in person as well. I appreciate the compliment and support
We are a new Winery in Wa. So much to learn. Thanks Linnea M.Covington

Cheers and success to you!
Just giving you a hard time… easy target and all 😉 Quite in agreement on Kiona though. Coincidently, I just had their 2003 Syrah last night with smoky chili. It was tasting really well, held up to the heat and spice and really complimented the chipotle/cocoa flavors in the chili. I brought home a bunch of wine and it’s nearly all gone… just a bit too drinkable I guess! Red Mountain ROCKS!
